Can You Read It?


This comes from an 1850 christening entry in Tjarstad, Sweden (the 21st entry in 1850 for those who want to know where it came from).

Anna Lisa Erics or Eries Jr.

It was a custom to sometimes name the daughter Jr. if she had the same name as her mother.

This is Anna Lisa Ericsdr, which as Randy and Miriam pointed out refers to Ericsdattar, or Eric's daughter. There is no reference to "Junior" in this instance.
