I've been searching for Emma Sargent's five husbands at GenealogyBank
. Emma was born in Canada (probably Ontario) about 1840, the daughter of Clark and Mary (Dingman) Sargent. You'd think with that many, there'd be something.
I did run across this little gem, but it really didn't provide any direct clues and I need to confirm there weren't other James Pollards in the immediate area. I know that Emma and her James Pollard were in the same area of Iowa that this clipping mentions.
Hopefully we'll have an update on Emma. I've written about her for Casefile Clues in the past.
GenealogyBank has an interesting collection of older newspapers. Like most commercial newspaper sites, the coverage is hit and miss in some cases.
