Our deadline for the drawing for a free stay at the Ft. Wayne Hilton during our trip to the Allen County Public Library has been changed because our registration files were not uploaded promptly. The new deadline to register and be entered in the drawing is 6 December 2008.
This prize has a $400 value and will give the winner extra money for photocopies. Registrants are responsible for their own incidentals and this drawing is for the hotel stay for 4 nights and tax only. Other hotel charges are the responsibility of the winner. More information on the trip is on our site.
Our trip dates are 27 May-31 May 2009.
For more information, send an email to mjnrootdig@gmail.com Thanks!
Michael John Neill's genealogy website. Things that cross my path, general research suggestions, and whatever else ...with a little bit of attitude. I don't post "news" just to post it, never post a press release (edited or otherwise), don't feign excitement, and pretty much say what I think.

Join Michael in Ft. Wayne, Indiana, May 2009

I'll be leading an annual genealogy research trip to the Allen County Public Library in Ft. Wayne, Indiana this May from 27 May through 31 May 2009.
We are staying at the Hilton, close to the library with a pretty good room rate.
There is more information on our website at http://www.rootdig.com/acpltrip.html. This year's trip is a little different and will be run like my trip to Salt Lake--participants meet me there instead of travelling together as a group.
A registration brochure is in the works and will be posted when finalized. Those interested can register now and make room reservations if they want to be ahead of the rest! Questions or requests for more information can be emailed to me at mjnrootdig@gmail.com. Thanks!
Enter our drawing for a free stay by registering by Thanksgiving.

WiFi at Allen County Library
For all those who are going on our trip to the Allen County Public Library in Ft. Wayne this May, the library does have wifi access throughout the building. You can easily connect your own laptop or other device to the internet while at the ACPL and communicate/share what you find as you find it. Of course, you won't want to spend all your time at the ACPL online. That you can do at home.
However, the ability to communicate instantly while at the library with anyone via email or chat can be very handy. The library also has microfilm scanners.
More information about our library trip to Ft. Wayne can be found on our site.

Ft. Wayne Research Trip--Hotel Information
Just to remind you....the cost of the trip does not include the hotel. One version of our flyers seemed to indicate the hotel was included. It is not. Those arrangements need to be made separately. More information on our trip is at:

Questions about the trip can be sent to me at mjnrootdig@gmail.com. If I cannot answer them, I will forward them to someone who can.

May 2007 Trip to Ft. Wayne, Indiana Genealogy Library
The St. Charles County Missouri Genealogical Society is proud to announce it's eighth annual research trip to the Allen County Public Library in Ft. Wayne, Indiana. The library has recently reopened from in its remodeled location and we are looking forward to our annual research trip.
Our trip is a little different. People in the St. Louis area can ride the bus from St. Louis to Ft. Wayne.
Others can elect to drive and pay a lower free because they are providing their own transportation.
Either way you get to be a part of our online preparation group where we do planning, give suggestions and guidance before we ever leave. Our goal is to have you hit the library with a list of things to do.
To learn more about our trip, visit our website for more information. The group from St. Charles is an excellent congenial group of people and we always have a great time (and most importantly, we always get a good deal of research done). We are still working on an unofficial contest for who makes the most copies. Our winners from last year know who they are!
