Can You Read It?


This German native's signature comes from his late nineteenth century naturalization.

  2. The name is supposed to be Jan Hüls.

    This is from his naturalization in Hancock County, Illinois, in the 1880s. Jan is a first cousin of my great-great-grandfather.
